WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IN GLASGOW

What is a Hostel?

The short answer is a hotel. We choose to trade as a “hostel” purely due to you, the customer, having the choices that traditional hotels don’t offer. Rooms of all sizes as well as beds in shared dorms, early check-in, late check-out, laundry and much more. The choice is yours: budget stay – your way.

Who stays at a Hostel?

We welcome everyone looking for low cost accommodation in a city centre location. It’s the ideal base to discover the city or attend events like concerts, sports matches or simply to just shop. Groups of all sizes are welcome.

What does my rate include?

All rates include bed with linen, VAT, 24hr reception assistance and access, FREE wifi in all areas, FREE direct dial taxi telephone and TV Lounge. Mint & Lime bar is open all day and into the early hours of the morning.

Is breakfast available?

Yes. We offer a full all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast for just £5 per person, per day.

What type of rooms do you have?

We have rooms for 1 person all the way up to 14 people and our suite bedrooms can accommodate 20 guests. Any size of party can be accommodated. All can be reserved for private use, or a bed can be booked in the 4, 8 or 14 person dorms. All rooms and dormitories are en-suite. Rooms consist of bunk beds with the exception of our double rooms and Quad rooms which have a double bed and a bunk bed suitable for Mum, Dad and 2 children.

There are also three adapted rooms suitable for guests in a wheelchair: the doors are widened, light switches/sockets lowered and the bathroom is fully adapted with a panic alarm. All public areas are also wheelchair friendly.

We now have VIP and Mini Suites available too!

Does the hostel have car parking?

Unfortunately due to our city centre location we do not have our own car parking. However we do have an agreement with the Q-Park Jamaica Street Car Park situated on Adams Court Lane, G1 4NL, where our guests receive 24hr parking for only £8. Please have your car park ticket validated at reception on check-out. If you are still unsure of where to go please ask a member of staff who will be happy to direct you to the correct car park.

Is there a curfew?

No, our reception is manned 24hrs and access to guests during the night is controlled by security doors using your room key card for entry.

Is there secure storage in the rooms?

Yes, all rooms have lockers but you do have to provide your own padlock. Don’t worry if you have forgotten yours, they are on sale at reception.

Can I smoke in my room?

Absolutely Not! The hostel is completely smoke free, even in a private room. We will charge you £50 per person should this be ignored. We insist on preserving our smoke free environment.

Do you take a deposit for reservations?

All reservations require a 12% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking for the total stay. For groups of 6 or more please refer to our separate Group Reservations Terms & Conditions.

What age do I have to be to stay at the hostel?

Euro Hostel welcomes all ages; all we ask is that under 18’s are accompanied by an adult. Under 18’s cannot book a shared dorm even if accompanied by an adult.

Is there WI-FI or internet available in the hostel?

Wi-Fi is available free throughout the entire hostel including our bedrooms / suites and bar. Premium WiFi that allows streaming is available at a small cost on 1, 3 and 7 day packages.

Is there a bar in the hostel? Can I take my kids in?

Mint & Lime, our stylish bar, is located within the hostel and is open daily from 7am for breakfast. Kids are welcome in the bar with a parent or guardian up to 9pm if resident in the hostel. We close at midnight every day to non-residents but residents can take advantage of our 24 hour license and the bar will remain open if there is demand. Once the bar closes drinks can be purchased at reception for residents only. Euro Hostels promotes responsible drinking.
